EMMA SATCHELL

discussion room host

"Recently I attended Emma’s Dying to Help Discussion Room at Valley Church, Preston.  After watching the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and a discussion with a friend, I thought I’d like to ‘end well’ just as the Queen had done.  I was curious to learn more and so these were my reasons for attending.

There was energy, laughter, lightness, information, prompt cards for conversation and lots to consider.  I learned there are more ways to plan your own funeral than I had thought possible.

I would encourage anyone who feels curious to attend one of Emma’s sessions, I’m sure they would be pleasantly surprised and I have already shouted out the benefits of this to my friends and family!"

"Losing a loved one is a very traumatic time. My wife was only 43 and there was no way she wanted a traditional funeral where everybody mourns and wears black.

Emma was so accommodating, and her attention to detail is second to none. She would have made my wife Lesley so very proud with the service. She was also such a support through a terrible time in my life.

I will be able to look back and remember the beautiful celebration Emma conducted. I will never be able to thank her enough."

“I can’t thank Emma enough for the care and support she gave in relation to the death of my father. She listened to our wishes, made suggestions to help us and was thoroughly professional, putting us at ease during every aspect of the funeral organisation.

The funeral service given by Emma was a beautiful celebration of Dad’s life done in a very relaxed way and was just what he would have wished for.

Thank you.”"
